A . Fan running slowly or not in full speed
The problem will be in capacitor.Just change the capacitor.
2. how to change the capacitor
1 .Before do any thing first verify whether the fan has switched off.
2. Remove the capacitor from the fan.just note down which color wire has connected to where then replace with new one and hook all the wires correctly.then switch on the fan.
3. mostly the capacitor will be placed outside of the motor case so you can easily change the capacitor without removing the fan from ceiling.
B .Fan not running or not working
1. Simple solution is just rotate the fan in opposite direction.then switch on the fan.Because if the raining season small rust or dust has formed in the rotating parts of the fan that may cause the problem.
2. check the wire connection between the switch and regulator.If the fan has a remote then check the battery.
3.Check the wire disconnected or loose connected inside the motor case if fan motor is on a separate circuit.
4.Rotate the fan by hand if it is stuck then the problem will be in bearing just bore the oil in bearing balls.
c. Fan making noise
1. Check wire or any thing slipped in the rotating or moving parts of the fan.
2. check bolt or nut loose connected and any loose part on the fan.
3. Humming noise may come out because of motor vibration.check the vibration isolation material(rubber) between motor and blade brackets and blades.
D. Fan running with little air
1. check the fan is rotating any reverse direction.all the fan will rotate clockwise.
2. check the blade are bent.
